1. Buy experiences, not things. Travel a bit if you can.
2. Listen to people when they speak, really listen, instead of waiting for your turn to speak.
3. Try new foods. The worst that can happen is you don't like it (I mean, unless you have an allergy or something).
4. There's a healthy balance to everything. Work and play, time with friends and time alone, Doritos and quinoa.
5. If you're feeling sad, do something small like clean your house. There, now your life is a little bit more together.
6. If you don't know, just ask. You'll look dumber if you get it wrong later because you didn't ask.
7. Don't post mopey break up statuses or complaints about your job on social media.
8. Keeping your used dryer sheets in your sock drawer makes it more awesome.
9. If you really want something, show coach you care. Go the extra mile. Do your research.
10. When hydroplaning, keep the wheel straight and ease your foot off of the gas pedal.
11. Bravery isn't being unafraid, it's being afraid and doing it anyway.
12. You can regrow scallions if you put the roots in a cup with a bit of water in it.
13. Holding onto hate hurts no one but you.

21. Don't just be an "idea guy", be able to help make it happen in some way. Learn the useful skills you need to participate.

23. If you don't feel happy, smile anyway. If you don't feel powerful, put your hands on your hips. Fake the emotion and you'll start to feel that way.
24. Be present. Keep your phone off of the table during conversations and don't record concerts.
